Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MEP Engineer to oversee and manage all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work for our basement and building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of MEP installations from design approval through to final commissioning. This role requires strong coordination skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage infrastructure work and collaborate with various trades, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of MEP Works:
- Oversee all MEP installations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Monitor the installation process from initial engineering approval through to final commissioning and site handover.
Technical Coordination:
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure MEP designs are practical and feasible for implementation.
- Coordinate with structural, architectural, and other trades to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems.
Site Management:
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, adherence to timelines, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to site personnel to resolve technical issues as they arise.
Consultant and Contractor Liaison:
- Coordinate with various consultants and contractors to facilitate effective communication and resolve any project-related issues.
- Ensure that all MEP work aligns with project schedules and contractual obligations.
Problem Solving:
- Identify potential challenges during the project lifecycle and develop innovative solutions to address them.
- Implement corrective actions and adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of MEP work progress, including daily reports and documentation for approvals.
- Prepare and present technical reports to management and stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on building projects.Technical Skills: Proficient in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and knowledgeable in local building codes and regulations.Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Work Environment:Location: Sheikh ZayedWorking Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMWeekend: Friday
