Position Overview:

The Landscape Design BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for landscape architecture projects. This role involves collaboration with various teams, ensuring that landscape design models are accurately integrated, maintained, and executed throughout the project lifecycle. The BIM Coordinator works closely with project managers, landscape architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable landscape designs.

Key Responsibilities:

BIM Coordination and Management:

Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for landscape architecture projects.

Ensure that BIM models are aligned with project requirements, including client specifications and industry standards.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate landscape designs with architectural, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and civil models.

Coordinate and manage clash detection processes to identify and resolve conflicts between landscape models and other disciplines.

Project Collaboration:

Work closely with landscape architects, project managers, and other design professionals to ensure accurate and efficient BIM processes.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external consultants, contractors, and clients.

Participate in design meetings, providing technical expertise related to BIM processes and landscape design.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure that all landscape BIM models meet company standards and comply with industry best practices.

Conduct regular quality checks on models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends to continuously improve processes and deliverables.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and manage BIM documentation, including model specifications, guidelines, and standards.

Generate reports and visualizations from BIM models to support design decisions and project presentations.

Document and track changes in models throughout the project lifecycle.

Training and Support:

Provide training and support to landscape design teams and other stakeholders on BIM tools and processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve BIM-related issues to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably in landscape architecture or a related discipline.

Proven experience working with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other related tools.
