Job Description
The Production Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes and systems. They work to ensure that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. This role involves collaboration with various departments, such as design, quality control, and supply chain management, to improve production workflows and resolve technical issues.
- Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Design and optimize workflows to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
- Production Monitoring and Control:
- Monitor production processes to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the production cycle.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with quality control teams to maintain product quality.
- Implement quality control processes and corrective actions for non-conformance.
- Analyze quality data and make recommendations for improvements.
- Equipment and Maintenance Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Work with maintenance teams to address equipment failures and downtime.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop strategies to reduce waste and optimize resource usage.
- Monitor and control production budgets.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct safety training for production staff.
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents to improve safety measures.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to align on goals and objectives.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to facilitate smooth operations.
- Project Management:
- Lead or participate in projects related to process improvements, new equipment installations, or technology upgrades.
- Develop project plans, set milestones, and track progress to ensure timely completion.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, equipment performance, and quality control.
- Prepare and present reports on production metrics, issues, and improvements.

Qualifications
Education:

Experienced
- 2 - 3 Years of previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is often required. Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is advantageous.
- Excellent in English language skills.
