Real Estate Portfolio Manager (on behalf of our banking client)

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Portfolio Manager on behalf of our client in the Banking industry. The role is based in Cairo, Egypt. The role-holder will report to the Global Account Director.

Responsibilities of the role will include property management services including managing notices, site access and being main contact for landlords within the assigned geography.

Responsibilities also include broker selection, transaction oversight and reporting, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, development and presentation of business case and closeout.

Role Purpose:

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for delivery of portfolio management services for our banking client, within the assigned geography.


Estates Management:Manage in-region escalations & issues.Liaise with in-region client stakeholders & interlock partners.Liaise with C&W in-country delivery partners and account service line teams.Ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites.Ensure service delivery meets performance standards.Track and report all data required for performance (KPI) reporting.Actively participate and gather all required data & insights for portfolio planning process with service line leads and interlock partners.To ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites.Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client’s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant.Identify and drive through cost savings for corporate occupiers.Oversee Property Asset Management (PAM) - subtenant management service delivery within assigned geography for sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison.Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated.Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements and advising clients of same.Manage and liaise with other Cushman & Wakefield teams and other professionals to provide a full service to the client.Direct and frequent client contact and reporting.Transaction Management:Assist with the implementation of portfolio plans that align with client’s real estate goals and objectives.Collaborate with C&W and non C&W brokerage professionals to ensure effective. negotiations of business terms for a wide variety of transactions including lease, sale, sublease and purchase.Manage the flow of key documentation and client communications.Review, and interpret financial analysis.Oversee revenue tracking of all transactions.Maintain database of transaction activity.Ensure accuracy of all transaction reports.Present transaction activity to client.Lead and/or facilitate client meetings.Provide suggestions for process and technical improvements relating to the transaction process.Assist with the on-boarding of new team members.Process Management:Assist with the development of standard forms and procedures.Implement standardized processes/playbooks that create maximum efficiencies and add value.Assist in measuring transactional performance.Ensure that all client and broker engagement documentation is executed.Transaction Management:Coordinate field broker selection process.Assist with determining client needs and communicate project parameters.Coordinate negotiations and management of transactions.Coordinate legal review of all client leased/owned documents.Ensure accuracy of financial data and reporting.Coordinate client site visits/market tours.Ensure all State real estate standards are met.Strategic Planning:Assist in the development of strategic real estate plans.Work with portfolio strategy team to identify occupancy cost opportunities.Ensure implementation of agreed upon strategy.Produce and/or support business case development.Execute strategies by developing action plans.Knowledge & Experience:5+ years of portfolio management experience, preferably with finance sector experienceUp to date knowledge of legislation regarding property managementDemonstrable technical competence in property managementBasic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)Industry specific packages (e.g. TRAMPS/PM&A)General practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector or private practiceMembership of RICSCompetencies1.
