We are seeking a detail-oriented Planning & Cost Control Engineer to develop, implement, and oversee project planning strategies, ensuring the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to optimize resource utilization, adhere to project timelines, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
• Analyze project feasibility by estimating materials, equipment, and labor costs.
• Prepare and present reports and presentations for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and team members to provide project updates.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Inventory Control teams for smooth project execution.
• Coordinating with design and detailing for design modifications that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Track and monitor project performance to ensure alignment with goals.
• Conduct schedule trend analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure workplace safety by adhering to protocols and promoting best practices.
• Maintain compliance with operational and capital expenditure plans.
• Initiate and justify revenue-generating projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Optimize the use of planning tools and processes to enhance project performance.

Preferred Candidate

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in project planning and management, preferably in the construction or engineering sectors.
• Certifications: Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus.

Skills

• Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access Database).
• Experience with AutoCAD and other 3D modeling software.
• Knowledge of project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
