The Innovation Lab Director will lead and scale the lab across its full mandate: venture building, R&D and technology development, IP management and commercialization, open innovation partnerships, and external funding. The Director will be accountable for maturing the lab’s venture pipeline — from concept through validation, pilot, launch, and scale — while building the R&D, IP, and governance capabilities that support and protect it. This is not a bench research role. The Director will operate at the intersection of corporate innovation, venture building, technology, academia, startups, and investors, ensuring the lab delivers both new ventures and commercially protected, deployable technology.

Required

▪ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or MBA is strongly preferred.

▪ Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role with direct responsibility for innovation management, R&D leadership, technology transfer, IP strategy, or venture building.

▪ Demonstrated experience in venture building, venture studios, accelerators, or corporate venture programs.

▪ Excellent written and verbal communication in both Arabic and English, including the ability to present complex technical and commercial topics clearly to executive and Board audiences.
