We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety activities for a major production line and ensure a strong culture of safe, compliant and sustainable operations. The successful candidate will provide practical guidance to site leadership, production teams, contractors and employees, helping to identify risks, implement effective controls and continuously improve EHS performance. Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures and risk assessments; ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and corporate requirements; and conducting regular workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews. You will investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, identify root causes and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. The role will also involve coordinating emergency preparedness, occupational health initiatives, environmental controls, waste management, chemical safety, machine safety, ergonomics and contractor management. You will monitor performance indicators, prepare reports for management and support EHS objectives through improvement programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
Experience with management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, incident investigation methodologies and continuous improvement tools would be advantageous.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or a related discipline, together with substantial EHS experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment. Relevant professional certification and knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental legislation will be highly valued. You should be confident working with all levels of an organisation, able to influence operational decisions and comfortable delivering training and presentations. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to visible, hands-on safety leadership.
