Position Overview The Maintenance Engineer (Earthmoving Equipment) is responsible for directing maintenance operations, advanced diagnostics, and component rebuilding for heavy machinery. The primary focus of this role is to ensure maximum fleet availability, operational reliability, and strict adherence to manufacturer overhaul standards across the company’s contracting projects.
Key Accountabilities:Supervise major overhauls and technical repairs across heavy earthmoving fleets, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and dump trucks. Lead technical rebuilds of internal combustion diesel engines, power-shift transmissions, torque converters, and high-pressure hydraulic components. Execute systematic diagnostics using manufacturer service tools and hydraulic test benches to perform root-cause failure analyses. Supervise Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and rigorous operational testing before asset mobilization to active construction sites. Inspect and evaluate returning machinery post-demobilization to schedule required overhauls and control turnaround schedules. Direct technicians, oversee safety compliance, and interface with procurement teams to verify spare parts and overhaul bills of materials.
Required Profile:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5–10 years of hands-on technical experience in heavy equipment maintenance within major contracting companies or authorized equipment dealerships. Solid background in reading hydraulic/electrical schematics, diagnosing electronic engine control systems, and executing component overhauls.
