This position reports to and works under the supervision of the Farm Manager. The role is responsible for developing production strategies, soil analysis, irrigation and fertilization management, pest and disease control, overseeing agricultural operations from planting to harvest, and training workers. The focus is on improving crop quality and quantity using modern techniques and submitting periodic reports to management to achieve maximum production efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop work plans for planting grain crops, including selecting seed types, planting schedules, fertilization and irrigation plans, and resource management.
• Analyze soil samples to determine their needs and apply appropriate irrigation and fertilization programs to enhance soil fertility and improve crop growth.
• Regularly monitor fields to identify plant pests and diseases, and implement chemical or biological control programs efficiently and in accordance with environmental standards.
• Directly supervise agricultural engineers and workers, organize their daily tasks, and train them on best agricultural practices.
• Conduct experiments to improve crop strains and increase productivity while ensuring final crop quality.
• Submit periodic reports to senior management on crop status, growth rates, production quantities, and work challenges.
• Stay updated with the latest developments and technologies in modern agriculture and apply them to improve operational efficiency.
• Train and develop the team, follow up on their work to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required quality.
• Handle any new tasks as assigned.
