Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Specification Engineer role based in New Cairo. The role involves assisting in the preparation of technical specifications and drawings for flooring solutions, ensuring alignment with project requirements, standards, and Forbo product guidelines. The Junior Specification Engineer supports senior engineers in reviewing project documents, coordinating with sales and project teams, and providing technical input to architects, designers, and contractors. Day-to-day tasks include collecting project data, drafting specification documents, updating technical libraries, and contributing to product presentations and submittals. The role also includes maintaining accurate records of specifications and assisting with site visits or meetings to clarify technical details when needed. Qualifications Technical skills in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, preparing specifications, and working with CAD or similar design tools. Basic knowledge of construction materials and building finishes, preferably with exposure to flooring systems and interior fit-out projects. Strong analytical and research skills to understand project requirements, technical standards, and product performance characteristics. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, sales teams, architects, and contractors. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation accurately. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architecture, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CAD software and basic design tools is an advantage. Interest in sustainable and design-oriented building solutions; prior internship or entry-level experience in construction or specification work is a plus.
