Inspect packaging (PP bags, pallets, labels, markings) at the factory to ensure 100% compliance with each order's technical requirements (packing list, PO, customer instructions)
Cross-check actual packing specifications against the standards agreed between TLD and the factory (bag weight, bag type, thickness, pallet stacking, wrapping film, etc.)
Detect and promptly report any packing deviations before goods are loaded into containers or shipped out
Sample and test CaCO₃ quality parameters (whiteness, fineness, moisture, impurities, etc.) against order specifications
Cross-check factory-issued quality results with independent sampling when necessary
Maintain organized, complete quality records (COA, inspection reports) for each shipment/batch
Maintain regular physical presence or direct contact with factories to stay informed of issues arising in production (delays, raw material shortages, equipment breakdowns, labor shortages, etc.)
Identify and report risks early that could affect product quality or delivery timelines
Track actual production progress for each order at each factory (percentage completed, expected completion date)
Compile and report progress regularly (daily/weekly) to the Operations team to support booking plans, vessel schedules, and customer notifications
Serve as the on-the-ground information link between the factory and Operations/Sales — provide timely input when issues arise that could affect the shipping plan
Propose improvements to packing and quality control processes when inefficiencies are identified
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in QC, QA, or production control — preferably in mining, chemicals, construction materials, or bagged export goods
Basic understanding of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) production is a plus; training can be provided for candidates with a strong technical foundation
Familiarity with export quality documentation (COA, Certificate of Weight, packing list)
Detail-oriented, careful, and able to spot small deviations in packing specifications and product quality
Strong communication skills for direct interaction with factory supervisors/workers — must be proactive and assertive when requiring corrective action from the factory
Clear, concise reporting skills (progress reports, incident reports)
Basic Excel skills for tracking and consolidating data preferred
Own transportation or willingness to travel frequently to factories (in and around Cairo)
Honest and highly responsible — this role directly represents the company's interests on the production floor
Basic conversational English is a plus (documents/reports may be in English/Arabic)
Proactive, hands-on attitude, able to work independently when management is not on-site at the factory
