Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Videographer & Video Editor role based in Cairo. The role involves planning, shooting, and editing video content that showcases AEA programs, learning experiences, and brand messaging. Daily tasks include operating cameras, setting up lighting, recording high-quality audio and video, and collaborating with instructors and marketing teams to produce educational and promotional videos. The Videographer & Video Editor will organize footage, create rough and final cuts, add motion graphics or titles, and ensure all videos are optimized for various online platforms. The role also includes maintaining video equipment, managing media assets, and contributing creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling and learner engagement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Shooting Video, including planning, framing, and capturing engaging content. Candidates should possess solid Camera Operation and Camera handling skills, with the ability to use DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema cameras confidently. Candidates should possess practical expertise in Lighting for video, including setting up and adjusting studio and location lighting for clear, well-balanced visuals. Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic motion graphics tools is highly beneficial. Relevant experience in educational or marketing video content creation, preferably within training or academic environments, is an advantage. Strong visual storytelling ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work on-site in Cairo within a collaborative, deadline-driven team. A portfolio demonstrating previous videography and editing work; formal education in media, film, or a related field is a plus but
