Civitech – Consulting Center of Civil Engineering is seeking an experienced Steel Design Consultant Engineer to join our design team in Cairo.
Key Responsibilities:• Perform structural analysis and design of steel buildings, industrial structures, canopies, platforms, towers, and other steel systems.• Prepare and approve design calculations, technical reports, structural drawings, and connection details.• Develop and review structural models using relevant engineering software.• Review steel fabrication and erection shop drawings for compliance with the approved design.• Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and MEP disciplines.• Respond to technical queries, RFIs, and contractor submittals during construction.• Ensure compliance with applicable Egyptian and international codes and standards.• Provide practical and economical solutions considering fabrication and erection requirements.
Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in structural steel design and engineering consultancy.• Must be registered as a certified Engineering Consultant in Egypt with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.• Extensive experience in steel design, connection design, structural stability, and detailing.• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD. Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, or equivalent software.• Experience with Tekla Structures, IDEA Stati Ca, or RAM Connection is an advantage.• Strong knowledge of ECP, AISC, Eurocode, and applicable loading standards.• Proven ability to independently prepare, review, and approve structural calculations and design drawings.• Good written and spoken English.• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
