Overview of the position and the company

We are a leading company in the agricultural production and poultry farming sector, offering integrated solutions to ensure the quality of table eggs, meet local demand, and contribute to food security. We are seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Engineer - Layer Hens to be part of an effective management team in Cairo, supervising production operations and technical development to ensure high efficiency and egg quality.

Main responsibilities and duties

• Design and plan breeding and distribution programs for hatchery operations and ensure compliance with health, environmental standards and local and international regulations.
• Manage and direct technical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operation of hatchery cages and achieve production and quality goals.
• Analyze production data and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rate, mortality rate, and conversion efficiency, and continuously improve them.
• Organize poultry health care programs and follow vaccination and feeding schedules in coordination with the nutrition team to maintain flock health and improve productivity.
• Develop and implement biosafety procedures, quality control of products, and prepare technical and administrative reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with engineering and public health teams to manage risks and respond to biotic and environmental emergencies.
• Keep up with the latest technical developments in layer poultry farming and apply them in line with the company strategy and budget.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field (Bachelor's degree / Licentiate).
• From 5 to 10 years of professional experience in poultry farming or poultry farming, preferably in egg production.
• Experience in operations management, supervising work teams, and coordinating activities between production, nutrition, and biosafety.
• Familiarity with quality and food safety standards and local regulations related to poultry farming and egg production in Egypt.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on performance indicators.
• Owns a private car

Skills required

• Leadership, time management, and effective management of human and financial resources.
• Deep understanding of animal husbandry and basic veterinary science and biosafety management.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with various departments and suppliers.
• Proficiency in using production management software and basic data analysis systems (Excel with analytical capabilities).
• Ability to develop short- and long-term work plans and adhere to timelines.
