Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Ţanţā. The Civil Engineer will oversee design and implementation of civil works, including site layout, structural elements, utilities, and stormwater systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities include preparing drawings and technical documents, reviewing contractor work, coordinating with project managers, architects, and other engineers, and supporting planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities. The role also involves conducting site inspections, monitoring construction progress, addressing technical issues, and contributing to risk assessments and quality control. The Civil Engineer will help optimize designs for safety, durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact. Qualifications Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience applying civil engineering principles to construction projects Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation of plans, calculations, and technical specifications Experience in Planning and project coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related infrastructure, including drainage design and flood mitigation Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline Experience working as a Civil Engineer on-site, with familiarity in construction methods, materials, and safety practices Ability to use engineering and design software (e.g., Auto CAD, civil design tools) and interpret technical drawings Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams Fluency in written and spoken English; additional local language skills are an advantage Previous experience in regional or similar infrastructure and building projects is preferred
