Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Site Roads Engineer role based in Cairo. The Senior Site Roads Engineer oversees road and pavement construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating with contractors and multidisciplinary teams, monitoring site progress, and resolving technical issues related to roads and associated infrastructure. The role involves conducting inspections, preparing site reports, supporting quality control procedures, and contributing to value engineering and risk mitigation efforts. The Senior Site Roads Engineer also provides guidance to junior engineers and supports effective communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong background in Civil Engineering with practical experience in Road Construction and Infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Pavement Engineering, including design, materials selection, and performance evaluation. Knowledge of Structural Engineering principles as they relate to roadways, bridges, and associated structures. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Experience in site supervision for road and infrastructure projects, preferably in consultancy or contracting environments. Familiarity with relevant local and international standards, codes, and quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 is an advantage). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and safety. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g., Auto CAD, civil design tools) and MS Office. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
