Role Description The BD Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The BD Architect will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, designing solution architectures for client projects, and aligning technical designs with IEC’s strategic objectives. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with internal engineering and architecture teams, preparing proposals and presentations, defining integration requirements, and ensuring that web services and software solutions fit client needs and project constraints. The role also involves market analysis, client relationship management, and participation in project planning meetings to support growth across governmental, corporate, and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the real estate and construction sectors. Build and maintain relationships with developers, consultants, contractors, and strategic partners. Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and capability statements. Coordinate with the design and marketing teams to support project pursuits. Track leads, opportunities, and tender pipelines through the sales process. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities. Represent IEC professionally and strengthen the company's market presence. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture.1–4 years of experience in business development, sales, client relations, or architecture. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Commercial mindset with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word).
