Role Description The Senior QC Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt, responsible for overseeing electrical quality control activities on solar and wind farm projects. The role involves reviewing electrical designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and safety regulations. Daily tasks include inspecting electrical installations, performing tests on control systems and equipment, identifying defects, and coordinating corrective actions with site teams. The Senior QC Electrical Engineer prepares detailed inspection reports, maintains documentation for audits, and collaborates with project managers, construction engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and compliant project delivery. The role also supports continuous improvement of QC procedures and mentors junior engineers and technicians in best practices. Qualifications Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with experience in electrical design for power, solar, or wind projects. Proficiency in Electrical Controls and Control Systems Design, including reviewing control schematics and ensuring proper integration. Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations relevant to renewable energy projects. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced certifications in quality control or renewable energy are a plus. Proven experience in QC or QA roles on construction or energy projects, preferably in solar or wind farms. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and control logic documentation. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary site teams. Demonstrated ability to work in on-site project environments, manage multiple inspections, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with relevant testing equipment, reporting tools, and QC software is advantageous.
