Role Description The Research and Development Product Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt. This role is responsible for leading the development of new dairy products and improving existing offerings, from concept through to commercialization. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and consumer research, defining product requirements, coordinating pilot trials, and collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure successful implementation. The person in this role will manage project timelines, monitor product performance, and integrate feedback from stakeholders to refine formulations and processes. The position also involves ensuring that all new products comply with relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies, while supporting continuous innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
Product development and innovation skills, including experience in managing end-to-end product lifecycles in food or dairy industries. Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret market data, consumer insights, and technical reports to guide product decisions. Project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables. Quality and regulatory awareness, with knowledge of food safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in manufacturing environments. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage. Previous experience in R&D, product management, or process improvement within the food, beverage, or dairy sector is highly beneficial. Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and readiness to work on-site in production facilities in Egypt.
