Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cutting Engineer role based in Ismailia at Diniz Adient Egypt. The Cutting Engineer is responsible for operating and monitoring cutting machines and related equipment to ensure precise and efficient production according to technical specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing materials, setting up cutting parameters, performing test runs, and adjusting machines to achieve optimal quality and minimal waste. The role involves inspecting output for defects, documenting production data, and collaborating with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes. The Cutting Engineer also supports preventive maintenance activities, follows workplace safety and housekeeping guidelines, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives in the cutting area.
Qualifications
Strong technical skills in operating industrial cutting machinery and equipment, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and production specifications. Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments, preferably in automotive or upholstery-related industries. Good understanding of quality control practices, including measurement techniques, defect identification, and process improvement methods. Solid knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for complex repairs. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with production, quality, and logistics personnel. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time and tasks in a fast-paced production setting. Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered. Basic computer skills for recording production data and using manufacturing systems; familiarity with ERP or MES tools is an advantage. Willingness to work on-site in Ismailia and adapt to shift patterns based on production needs.
