About the Role Are you a meticulous and strategic quality advocate looking to lead the charge in delivering flawless software? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Testing Engineer to join our Cairo-based team. In this critical role, you will design and implement comprehensive testing strategies, mentor junior engineers, and champion quality across all development phases. You will be the final gatekeeper ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, security, and usability before they reach our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for complex software features.
• Perform rigorous manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, and performance) to identify defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to understand requirements and improve testability.
• Design and maintain robust automation frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or similar).
• Analyze test results, report bugs with clarity, and track them to resolution using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Mentor mid-level and junior testers, conducting code reviews for test scripts and sharing best practices.
• Continuously improve testing processes, reducing time-to-market while increasing coverage.
• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline to ensure automated tests are integrated effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or C#) and deep knowledge of test automation frameworks.
• Test Methodology: Expert understanding of Agile/Scrum, black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing techniques.
• Tools: Hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail) and version control (Git).
• Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Mindset: A passion for quality, attention to detail, and a problem-solving attitude.
