Role Description The Senior Draftsman Infrastructure role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior Draftsman will prepare detailed infrastructure drawings, plans, and sections for roads, utilities, drainage, and related civil works using CAD and BIM tools, in line with project standards and codes. This role involves coordinating closely with engineers, architects, and planners to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings and revising documentation based on design reviews and site feedback. The Senior Draftsman will support the development and maintenance of drawing templates and standards, ensure proper documentation and filing of drawings and models, and assist in quantity take-offs and technical schedules when required. The position also includes reviewing drawings for accuracy, resolving drafting inconsistencies, and contributing to quality control processes across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Qualifications

Strong proficiency in infrastructure drafting using Auto CAD and related CAD software, with solid experience preparing detailed drawings for roads, utilities, and site development. Experience with BIM workflows and tools (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, or similar) for infrastructure projects, including coordination of models and extraction of drawings. Good understanding of civil and infrastructure design principles, standards, and local/international codes relevant to roads, drainage, and utilities. Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and survey data and convert them into accurate, buildable drawings. Strong attention to detail, quality-focused drafting practices, and ability to manage multiple drawing packages under tight deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and respond constructively to feedback and design changes. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in drafting, civil engineering, or a related technical field, with several years of relevant infrastructure drafting experience. Familiarity with digital project workflows (document management systems, version control, and drawing standards); experience in the MENA region is an advantage.
