About the Role We are looking for a Junior Silicon Photonics Design Engineer to join our growing photonics team and contribute to the design and development of next-generation silicon photonic integrated circuits (PICs). This role is ideal for a motivated early-career engineer who wants to build strong fundamentals and gain hands-on experience in photonic design, simulation, and chip development. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support the design, simulation, and characterization of silicon photonic components and subsystems.

Desired Candidate Profile

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 0 2 years of experience in silicon photonics, integrated optics, or a closely related area.
• Basic understanding of optical waveguides and photonic components.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as Lumerical, IPKISS, Photon Design, or similar is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of CMOS fabrication concepts.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Python, Matlab, or data analysis tools.
• Coursework or thesis work related to integrated photonics or optoelectronics is a plus.
