SHEHABCO is seeking to hire a Civil Technical Office Engineer with the following specifications:
Summary : To manage civil engineering documentation, quantity analysis, and design coordination to ensure constructability, cost accuracy, and compliance with project requirements before and during construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:Review civil construction drawings, structural details, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and constructability. Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQ analysis for project estimation and cost validation. Develop and review shop drawings, method statements, and construction details. Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design conflicts before construction. Review and prepare material submittals and technical documentation for consultant approval. Support variation order analysis and validate quantity changes during project execution. Maintain accurate documentation for drawings, revisions, and project records. Assist project teams with technical clarifications and respond to RFIs raised from site engineers. Participate in value engineering reviews to identify cost-saving construction alternatives. Ensure technical documents align with ERP cost codes and procurement systems. Coordinate with BIM teams to resolve clashes and maintain model accuracy when BIM is implemented. Support preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:Minimum three (3) years of experience in Civil Engineering and work activities. Experience in dealing with ERP accounting systems is preferred. Excellent ability to read, analyze, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English and/or Arabic. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages; Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Outlook. Strong understanding of construction methods and structural works Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of construction quality standards and testing procedures
