As Head of IT, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of IT across infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation, and digital transformation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high availability, resilience, and service excellence while driving innovation and aligning technology with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT leader with strong strategic vision, proven experience managing mission-critical environments, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will combine deep technical expertise with business acumen, lead high-performing teams, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

The role
As Head of IT, you’ll be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, your key responsabilities include:
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Ensure 24/7 availability and resilience of IT systems through proactive monitoring and robust operational processes.
- Oversee IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms, and data centers.
- Lead daily IT operations with a strong focus on service quality, SLAs, and user experience.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and support internal and external audits.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Define and lead the cybersecurity strategy, ensuring appropriate controls and risk mitigation.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST).
- Establish and enforce IT governance, risk management, and security policies.
Strategy & Digital Transformation
- Align IT strategy with business priorities and global initiatives.
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps supporting modernization and innovation.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives, including OCR, AI, IoT, and operational automation.
- Lead complex IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with change management processes.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Culture
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 5 Whys, RCA, Fishbone).
- Promote Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices across IT operations.
- Foster innovation, idea generation, and a culture of operational excellence.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing IT teams, encouraging accountability and growth.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage strategic vendors and partners, including contract negotiation and SLAs.
- Own the IT budget with a strong focus on cost optimization and ROI.
Resilience, Incident & Continuity Management
- Design and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead end-to-end incident management, ensuring fast detection, response, and resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during major incidents to minimize business impact.
- Drive post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Leverage automation and AI to improve incident detection and response.
Who We Are Looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in mission-critical or industrial environments.
- Proven track record delivering complex, end-to-end IT projects.
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure: networks, servers, storage, cloud, and virtualization.
- Solid experience with monitoring and incident management tools (e.g. PRTG, Grafana, Zabbix).
- Exposure to automation and digital technologies (AI, OCR, IoT, enterprise systems).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, and risk management.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with local and global stakeholders.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or MBA are a plus.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
