The Site Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting and financial activities at the agricultural site, ensuring accurate records, cost control, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and monitor all site financial transactions (expenses, revenues, petty cash).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Control site budgets and track agricultural costs (seeds, fertilizers, labor, machinery, irrigation, etc.).
- Manage payroll records for site workers and seasonal labor.
- Review supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with head office finance department.
- Monitor inventory-related costs and support stock reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assist in audits and financial reviews when required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.2-5 years of proven experience in accounting, agricultural site experience is a MUSTStrong knowledge of accounting principles.Good Excel and accounting software skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Willingness to be based on-site and travel to project locations as required.
