We are seeking a motivated Junior AppSec Engineer to join our Application Security team.
This entry-level role focuses on supporting AppSec delivery operations through SLA-driven ticket management, strong process discipline, and proactive follow-ups.
You will receive structured enablement, lab access, and mentorship from senior consultants to develop the technical expertise required to independently manage AppSec modules.
This role also provides exposure to enterprise cybersecurity platforms such as MFA, PAM, DLP, and EDR, allowing you to build a well-rounded foundation in both AppSec and adjacent security domains.
Key Responsibilities Track, monitor, and support the achievement of AppSec delivery SLAs for assigned tickets and requests.
Maintain ticket hygiene, including acknowledgments, proper ownership assignment, updates, due dates, and closure notes.
Proactively follow up on pending actions, identify risks, and escalate SLA slippages to senior consultants and the unit manager.
Assist delivery teams with documentation updates, templates, checklists, and process improvements.
Participate in internal enablement sessions and leverage lab environments to gain hands-on experience with AppSec tools and workflows.
Coordinate daily with Senior AppSec Consultants and the Unit Manager, progressively taking ownership of tasks and modules as skills develop.

Take ownership of defined modules over time and mentor future junior engineers in documentation and process discipline.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and ticketing workflows.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
High attention to detail, process adherence, and consistent task follow-through.
Eagerness to learn AppSec tools and develop hands-on technical skills through labs and mentoring.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
Basic understanding of application security concepts (OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST fundamentals).
Exposure to cybersecurity platforms such as MFA, PAM, DLP, or EDR.
Understanding of how security tools integrate with enterprise environments (AD, email, endpoints, web apps).
Entry-level cybersecurity certifications (Security+, eJPT, ISC2 CC, etc.
) are a plus.
