- Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.
- Supporting EHS manager during internal and external audits for all company’s different ISO systems.
- Responsible for issuing and reviewing required internal and external work permits for daily risky activities.
- Responsible and assisting in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the risk in such loss exposure; developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness.
- Responsible for day-to-day inspection for all plant work areas as per inspection plan.
- Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with SPHINX policies and safety requirements.
- Responsible for following up and monitor firefighting and detection systems conditions through monitoring the performance of responsible contractors of those mentioned systems.
- Maintain and update as needed SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training
- Provide advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working. orientations: emergency contribute to the Site Training Plans by conducting; emergency response training; and coordination of training programs for the operation.
- Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.
- Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.
- Lead the Emergency Response Team and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of field HSE meetings.
- Covering the required daily activities mentioned in the EHS technicians' duties in case of their absence or vacation.
- Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.
- Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
- Take the necessary actions and preparing the required work document to comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or related field.3 - 6 years in industrial hygiene or EHS.Certified internal audit for ISO 45001 and 14001Certified EHS SpecialistPower BI is an advantageFamiliarity with Fire Defection and Fire Fighting systems.CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist); knowledge of OSHA, EPA standards are a plusIdentify and mitigate chemical, physical, biological, radiological risks through inspections.Develop safety programs, conduct training, maintain records for regulatory compliance.Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, public speaking, equipment calibration.
