The Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Giza office. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing HVAC, Firefighting and Plumbing systems for a variety of building types, including residential complexes, commercial buildings, and intricate interior fit-out projects. You will ensure all designs meet international standards and contribute to our commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:Design and develop detailed mechanical systems for diverse building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems, across residential, commercial, and fit-out projects. Perform cooling load calculations and select appropriate equipment using specialized software. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software. Ensure all designs rigorously comply with relevant international codes and standards, specifically ASHRAE and NFPA. Coordinate seamlessly with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to integrate MEP systems effectively. Review technical submittals, vendor documents, and shop drawings for compliance with design specifications. Provide technical support throughout the design and construction supervision phases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design within an engineering consultancy environment. Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge and practical application experience of ASHRAE and NFPA standards are essential. Software Proficiency:High proficiency in Auto CAD for drafting and design. Proficiency in HAP or similar software for load calculations is preferred. Familiarity with other design software is a plus. Project Experience: Proven experience in residential, commercial, and fit-out projects. Experience working on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) projects is a significant advantage. Core Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
