Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations for A4 paper cutting, sizing, packaging, and finishing.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Monitor machine performance (cutting, slitting, rewinding, packaging lines).
- Optimize production processes to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with product quality specifications (GSM, whiteness, moisture level, cutting accuracy, packaging standards).
- Coordinate with the quality control team to implement quality procedures and corrective actions.
- Monitor quality KPIs and ensure continuous improvement.
3. Team Leadership & Training:
- Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, and support staff.
- Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and training.
- Promote a safe, disciplined, and high-productivity work environment.
4. Maintenance Coordination:
- Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery.
- Minimize downtime and improve line availability.
- Participate in maintenance planning for critical equipment (slitter machines, sheeters, packers).
5. Inventory & Material Management:
- Monitor raw material levels (jumbo reels, packaging materials, chemicals).
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure consistent supply.
- Reduce material waste and optimize usage.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Track KPIs: production output, machine efficiency, downtime, waste %, and quality metrics.
- Implement production SOPs and ensure documentation compliance.
7. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all production operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures and conduct periodic audits.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certification in Production Management or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in production management within a paper manufacturing factory (preferably A4 or printing paper lines).
- Strong experience with paper converting equipment (slitters, sheeters, cutters, automatic packing lines).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of production planning and control.
- Good understanding of quality control for paper products.
- Ability to analyze production data and implement improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Experience in high-speed A4 paper production lines.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen).
