Process Development Section Head

·Responsible for optimizing plant operation and improving process efficiency in the steelmaking melt shop and rolling mill plants that produce billet, rebar, and wire rods.
·Process Optimization: Develop and improving steelmaking and rolling processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
·Technology Implementation: Evaluate and integrating advanced metallurgical techniques, automation, and digital solutions.
·Alloy and Raw Material Optimization: Optimize alloying elements and consumables to improve product properties and reduce costs.
·Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure processes meet industry standards, customer specifications, and environmental regulations.
·Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize process modeling, simulations, and real-time monitoring for process control and predictive analysis.
·Project Management: Lead process development projects, from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
 


·Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).·A Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Process Engineering, or Industrial Management is a plus.·8–12 years of experience in steelmaking (EAF, LF, CCM) and/or rolling mill operations (rebar, wire rod, billet).·Hands-on experience in process optimization, metallurgical improvements, or quality control in steel production.·Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, alloying principles, and process modeling for steel manufacturing.·Experience with automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 technologies in steel plants is preferred.·Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, EN, ISO) and regulatory compliance.·Proven leadership in process development projects, cross-functional collaboration, and troubleshooting in a production environment.Technical Skills:.Metallurgical & steel alloying..Process Optimization & Control. .Alloying & Material Science..Data Analysis & Process Modeling..Quality Control & Standards..Energy & Resource Efficiency. .Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting. Personal Skills:.Leadership & Team Management..Analytical Thinking..Innovation & Continuous Improvement..Communication & Collaboration..Attention to Detail..Adaptability & Resilience. .Strategic Thinking..Self-motivated.
