A skilled Site Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in executing Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects. Responsible for managing on-site technical operations including civil works, tower erection, stringing, and commissioning. The role requires coordination with contractors, supervision of field activities, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute site activities related to OHTL projects, including tower foundations, erection, stringing, and conductor sagging.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to guide site execution.
- Monitor daily progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, survey teams, and equipment suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure that construction work complies with approved designs and safety standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and communicate updates to the Project Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of work permits, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment and construction materials at site.
- Collaborate with QA/QC and HSE teams to implement quality assurance and safety measures.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of the completed line section.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electricity or civil or Mechanical)
- Experience at least 6 Years in Overhead Transmission Lines
- Strong knowledge of tower foundation types, erection techniques, stringing methods, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with relevant international and local standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work at remote project sites and travel as needed.
