- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion within the food manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in production facilities.
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for new and existing machinery.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during project execution and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source equipment and materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and present project status reports, proposals, and technical documentation to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in mechanical engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.3-5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from inception to completion.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, automation, and production equipment.Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (ISO, HACCP, etc.).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.Strong organizational and project management abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
