We are seeking a skilled Quantity Survey Engineer to manage the cost and contractual aspects of building projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards, and will provide accurate cost control, estimation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for building projects.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, valuation of work done, and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
- Review and analyze contracts, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and prepare regular reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Survey Engineer on building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction cost management, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork abilities.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, or institutional building projects.
- Familiarity with local construction standards and regulations.
