The Factory Manager is responsible for leading all factory operations across production, machining (CNC milling / CNC lathe / conventional machines), sheet-metal fabrication, mold manufacturing, assembly, surface treatment (painting, galvanization, heat treatment), casting, and delivering product assembly. 

A key part of the role is the full deployment and optimization of the Odoo ERP system to ensure each department (Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Stores) is working effectively online, data flows are accurate, and real-time factory performance is visible and actionable.

 

 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field (MPA is Preferable).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in manufacturing/factory operations in metal-fabrication/machining environments (sheet metal, CNC milling & lathe, conventional machining, mold manufacturing, assembly).
• At least 5 years in a senior managerial role (Factory Manager, Operations Director, Plant Manager) in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth experience in surface treatments: painting, galvanization, heat treatment, casting operations.
• Proven experience implementing or using ERP systems (preferably Odoo) in a manufacturing context.

Technical & Leadership Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of machining processes (CNC milling/turning, conventional machines), sheet-metal fabrication, mold manufacturing, assembly, surface treatment methods.
• Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement methods and cost-reduction strategies.
• Outstanding leadership, team-management, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent English language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Proven capability to manage multiple departments, cross-functional teams, large headcount, and high-volume production.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills, with ability to interpret production/financial data and drive action.

Logistics & Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and own car (required).
• Preferred accommodation: resides or willing to reside in West Cairo / near 10th of Ramadan City to ensure timely on‐site presence.
• Willingness to be hands-on, spend time on the shop-floor as well as in office/ERP dashboards.
• High integrity, strong ethical values, sense of ownership and accountability.

Production & Operations ManagementDevelop, manage and optimize the production plan (sheet-metal fabrication, CNC   milling and turning, conventional machining, mold manufacturing, casting, assembly, finishing).Ensure machine utilization, throughput, lead-times, productivity targets are met.Oversee machine maintenance, set preventive maintenance schedules, minimize downtime.Ensure effective material flow, appropriate workstation layout, logistics between departments, timely delivery of sub-assemblies.Monitor productivity, scrap/rework, downtime, cost per unit; initiate improvement projects.Continuous Improvement & Cost ManagementDrive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, waste reduction, process optimization across machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing operations.Analyze cost-drivers: machining time, tooling, consumables, energy, scrap, rework; propose and implement cost-saving initiatives.Generate and report cost of goods manufactured, monitor variances, and align with budget.Recommend capital investments (machines, automation, layout upgrades) to CEO and senior leadership, with justification. Quality, Safety & Compliance     Ensure manufacturing operations meet required quality standards (first-pass yield, customer specs), and that all processes adhere to safety, health, environmental regulations.Lead root-cause investigations for quality failures, implement corrective and preventive actions.Ensure risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance protocols are in place and enforced. ERP / Odoo System LeadershipLead the implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of the Odoo ERP system across all departments (Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Stores).Ensure each department uses the system correctly: work orders, machine scheduling, inventory tracking, quality/inspection logs, maintenance records, time & attendance.Monitor ERP dashboards and data integrity; identify deviations, drive corrective actions, escalate to CEO when required.Work with IT/ERP team to customize modules or reports specific to manufacturing needs (CNC scheduling, mold tracking, surface treatment flows, scrap/repair tracking). People & Department LeadershipLead and manage department heads (Engineering, Production, Sheet-Metal Fabrication, Mould & Casting, Surface Treatment, Maintenance, Planning & Stores, Quality).Set departmental KPIs, monitor performance, conduct reviews, ensure training and competency development.Foster strong teamwork, safety-centric culture, accountability, and high-performance mindset. Strategic Planning & ReportingContribute to strategic factory planning: capacity expansion, technology roadmap (CNC, automation, finishing lines), layout improvements.Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly operational reports to CEO: production performance, machine utilization, cost, quality, backlog, improvement initiatives.Maintain oversight of backlog, customer delivery commitments, and coordinate with Sales/Planning.
