System Engineer (Windows)

As a System Engineer specializing in Windows platforms, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing computer systems and networks that utilize Microsoft Windows technologies.

 You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s Windows-based systems are running smoothly, efficiently, and securely to support business operations. 

Your expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and associated technologies will be essential. 

Collaborating with IT teams, you will troubleshoot and resolve system issues, optimize performance, and implement necessary updates and patches. 

The role also includes overseeing backups, disaster recovery plans, and providing support to end-users.

Responsibilities
Design and implement Windows-based systems to meet organizational needs and goals.
Manage Active Directory, ensuring proper configuration and security protocols are followed.
Perform routine system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of Windows servers.
Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery policies for all Windows systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any system errors or performance issues as they arise.
Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.
Monitor network performance and make adjustments to improve network speed and security.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate Windows systems with other platforms.
Assist in the development of system and network documentation for training and reference.
Configure, manage, and monitor network resources and equipment such as routers and firewalls.
Support end-users by investigating and resolving software and hardware issues.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a System Engineer with a focus on Windows systems.
Extensive experience with Windows Server operating systems and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Familiarity with virtual environments such as VMware or Hyper-V is desirable.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative IT team.
