Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Drafting & Design (Office Side)
- Prepare 2D/3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Generate detailed fabrication drawings, assembly guides, and BOMs
- Interpret rough sketches or concepts from engineers and turn them into production-ready layouts
- Apply industry-standard tolerances, GD&T, and material specs
Mechanical Workshop Management (Workshop Side)
- Supervise and coordinate all workshop activities: cutting, welding, machining, fitting, and assembly
- Manage technicians, machine operators, and support staff
- Schedule workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely job completion
- Oversee use and maintenance of machines, tools, and measuring equipment
- Ensure proper stock control of materials and consumables
Minimum of 5to 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or in a similar drafting role.Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawing standards.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical documentation.Ability to interpret and work from engineering sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions.Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Familiarity with industry codes, safety standards, and best practices in mechanical drafting.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office-based environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
