Maintenance Planning & Management:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all production and utility equipment.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and maintenance standards.
- Supervise daily maintenance operations and allocate work to engineers and technicians.
2. Production Line Support:
- Oversee maintenance of bottling, filling, labeling, and packaging lines for soft drinks and bottled water.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on the production lines.
- Monitor performance of conveyors, pumps, compressors, and motors to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate closely with production and quality departments to maintain line efficiency and product quality.
3. Technical & Process Improvement:
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns and maintenance costs.
- Introduce modern maintenance tools and systems (CMMS, TPM, predictive maintenance techniques).
- Evaluate new technologies and suggest upgrades to improve equipment performance.
4. Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Define KPIs for the maintenance team and ensure performance targets are achieved.
- Provide training and development to enhance the technical skills of maintenance staff.
- Promote a safety-first culture and enforce maintenance best practices.
5. Budgeting & Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets (spare parts, manpower, consumables).
- Control costs while maintaining high equipment reliability.
- Ensure inventory management of spare parts and critical components.
6. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and maintenance audits.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to company and ISO standards.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 5 years in the soft drinks or bottled water industry.
Proven experience managing production line maintenance (filling, labeling, blow molding, packaging).
Strong knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
Hands-on experience with Krones, Sidel, or similar bottling and packaging equipment.
Proficiency in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
