Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects.
- Oversee foundation, tower erection, conductor stringing, and commissioning works for lines up to 400kV or higher.
- Ensure all project activities comply with design specifications, technical standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor project progress against key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for smooth workflow.
2. Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead a team of site managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project review meetings, evaluate progress, and resolve technical or logistical issues.
- Ensure alignment between engineering design, procurement, and construction execution.
3. Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with international and client-specific quality standards (such as SEC, NG, or IEC).
- Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and other QA/QC documentation.
- Oversee risk management, identifying potential project risks and implementing mitigation measures.
4. Financial & Contractual Management:
- Manage the project budget, control costs, and approve resource allocations.
- Review and verify subcontractor payments, material invoices, and variations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and coordinate with the commercial department for claims and change orders.
- Monitor project cash flow, profitability, and overall financial health.
5. Resource & Supply Chain Management:
- Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage vendors and subcontractors effectively.
- Oversee logistics, transportation, and warehousing of transmission line materials (towers, conductors, insulators, etc.).
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly project reports to management and clients.
- Maintain complete documentation of drawings, site records, approvals, and handover documents.
- Ensure smooth handover and project closeout with as-built documentation and commissioning reports
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects, with at least 5 years in a Project Management role.
- Proven experience with EHV/HV lines (132kV, 230kV, 400kV, or above).
- Strong understanding of design, erection, stringing, and commissioning of transmission lines.
- Experience managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
- Familiarity with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) or GCC utility standards is highly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Project or Primavera (P6) for scheduling and planning.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
