This critical leadership position reports directly to the Technical Director and oversees the mechanics and maintenance personnel, ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and safety of all technological equipment and lifting/transport mechanisms. Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all plant equipment.
Plan, organize, and oversee timely preventive maintenance and repair activities.
Monitor equipment performance to optimize functionality, minimize downtime, and enhance reliability.
Develop and enforce equipment operation protocols and safety standards.
Manage the procurement, inventory, and accounting of spare parts and consumables.
Maintain accurate records and generate reports on maintenance activities, equipment downtime, and breakdowns.
Lead the repair team, delegate tasks, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Contribute to the modernization of existing equipment and the integration of new technologies.
Analyze equipment malfunctions and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
 

Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and equipment management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of mechanics and maintenance personnel.In-depth knowledge of industrial equipment, including lifting and transport mechanisms.Expertise in developing maintenance schedules, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.Ability to collaborate across departments and propose innovative solutions for equipment optimization.Rights and AuthoritiesAccess necessary information from various departments to support operational duties.Propose and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and safety.Suspend operations of faulty equipment to ensure workplace safety.Participate in negotiating contracts for equipment service and repair.Responsibilities and AccountabilityThe Chief Mechanic will be accountable for:Maintaining the technical integrity and operational readiness of all plant equipment.Ensuring strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards.Efficient use of materials, spare parts, and resources.Achieving production goals through effective equipment operation and timely repair
