Job Purpose
To lead and manage cross-functional, capex-heavy, and strategic operational projects across the group’s corrugated carton factories. The role ensures the successful planning, execution, and handover of all group-level industrial and technical projects in alignment with the group's growth strategy, quality standards, and continuous improvement roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Execution
- Lead planning, execution, and commissioning of group-wide projects, including:
- New production lines (e.g., corrugator/converting machines)
- Facility expansions (buildings, utilities, storage, warehouses)
- Technology integrations (ERP modules, IoT upgrades, energy monitoring)
- Own project timelines, budgets, and risk registers using robust tools (MS Project, Excel trackers, Gantt charts).
2. Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the central point of coordination across factories, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams (QA, Maintenance, Procurement, HR and Operations).
- Drive alignment between factory managers and senior group leadership on project scope and resource allocation.
- Regularly report milestone status, blockers, and critical issues to the Industrial Operations Director.
3. Capex Control & Procurement Support
- Work with Finance and Supply Chain to monitor capex utilization, payment milestones, and asset capitalization.
- Provide technical validation of offers, BOQs, and specs for equipment/installation works.
- Support commercial/technical evaluations of new vendors or technology partners.
4. SOP Deployment & Standardization
- Ensure group-wide alignment on:
- SOP implementation (e.g., paper trials, glue kitchen setup, CIL routines)
- Layout and utility standardization for new equipment.
- Support rollout of group improvement programs like M2P®, TPM, 5S, etc.
5. Handover & Sustainability
- Guarantee successful handovers to operations and maintenance teams with full documentation, training, snag lists, and KPI baselines.
- Ensure all new projects adhere to HSE, ISO, and sustainability guidelines.
???? Technical Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). PMP certification is must.8+ years in industrial projects or technical management within corrugated/carton, packaging, or similar sectors.Proven success in managing full-cycle greenfield/brownfield projects.Familiar with BHS, Fosber, EMBA, Bobst, Latitude machinery installations is a strong plus.High proficiency in project tracking tools (MS Project, Excel dashboards, PowerPoint).Behavioral & Leadership TraitsHighly structured, deadline-driven, and results and solutions-oriented.Strong cross-functional leadership and influence others without authority.Ability to challenge contractors, negotiate timelines, and drive execution under pressure.Comfortable traveling across Egypt weekly between group factories.
