- Develop/execute supply chain strategies aligned with business goals (cost efficiency, sustainability, quality).
- Optimize network design for sourcing, production, and distribution of frozen products.
- Manage relationships with agricultural suppliers (potatoes, vegetables) ensuring quality, volume, and ethical standards.
- - Negotiate contracts, monitor commodity pricing, and mitigate supply risks (seasonality, weather impacts).
- Collaborate with manufacturing to align production schedules with raw material availability and demand forecasts.
- Minimize waste (perishable inputs) and optimize freezer storage utilization.
- Oversee cold chain logistics** (temperature-controlled transport, warehousing) to ensure product integrity.
- Manage 3PL partners for inbound/outbound logistics (reefer containers, frozen trucking).
- Implement FIFO systems and optimize frozen inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
- Reduce shrinkage, spoilage, and stockouts through demand/supply balancing.
- Drive cost savings in procurement, packaging, warehousing, and transportation.
- Analyze P&L impact of supply chain decisions.
- Mentor procurement, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration (QA, Sales, Manufacturing).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering. Master’s/MBA preferred. Experience: 7+ years in supply chain leadership, specifically in frozen food, perishables, or FMCG. Expertise in cold chain management, agricultural sourcing, and frozen warehousing. Technical Skills: ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle), demand planning tools (Kinaxis, Legality), WMS/TMS. Data analytics (OTIF, inventory turns, cost-to-serve). Certifications: APICS CSCP/CPIM, Six Sigma (preferred). Soft Skills: Strategic thinker, crisis manager (supply disruptions), negotiator, cross-functional leader.
