- Source and identify new potential suppliers, both local and foreign, to ensure the highest quality and best prices for raw materials and supplies.
- Negotiate prices, contract terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure optimal purchasing agreements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, and meticulously follow up to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor international shipments and coordinate customs clearance procedures in collaboration with relevant parties.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance and maintain an updated supplier database.
- Effectively resolve any issues or disputes that may arise with suppliers.
- Stay abreast of market trends and proactively seek new opportunities to optimize the supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Production, Warehousing, Finance) to ensure the mill's needs are met efficiently.
- Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities and associated costs.
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in foreign procurement, preferably within the manufacturing sector (paper mills or similar industries are a plus).Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Good understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for procurement.
