We are looking for a highly motivated Secondary Design Engineer for Auxiliary Power Supply System, Control and Protection of Power Transmission Substations, with proven experience working to UK standards.

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams, Protection & Control Diagrams, Logic diagrams, and Interlocking block diagrams. 
• Prepare electrical equipment sizing calculations (CT/VT sizing Battery, LV cables/LV Switchgear/LV Metering). 
• Prepare protection & Control Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Auxiliary Power Supply System, LVAC/DC Schematics, Panel GAs, heat dissipation calculations, Cable Schedules and related BOQs ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant codes, standards, and regulations. 
• prepare technical and requisition specifications, data sheets and inspection data sheets for secondary equipment. 
• Provide detail design services on specialist engineering areas that include but not limited to: Protection Detailed Design (Protection Logic/Setting files, etc.), LCC, Secondary Systems Equipment Specification (CT, VT, CB, TFMR, etc..), Grid Metering, Power Quality Check design work for technical accuracy and adequacy. 
• Interface drawings between different substation panels (C&P/SAS/LCC with SWG). 
• Attend technical meetings remotely with client/consultant. 
• Prepare secondary equipment ITP & FAT Procedures. 
• All the a/m functions for different voltage levels 33KV to 400kv (GIS / AIS) SAS projects. 

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – Electrical Power Major. 
• 6+ years of working experience in Secondary design of substations and/or power plants. 
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (NGTS, IEC, BS, etc.). 
• Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD software, etc. 
• Time management and prioritize tasks at more than one project simultaneously preserving the planned project timeline. 
• Fluent in English and very good computer skills. 
• Fully conversant with Microsoft – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
