The Senior Electrical Engineer within the project team is responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of the project from design through to commissioning. This role involves ensuring that all electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained in compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with project management team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of electrical installations.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the complete electrical scope of the project, including the design verification, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. This involves ensuring all electrical work is compliant with codes, standards, and regulations.
• Manage Electrical Engineering Aspects: Oversee all tasks throughout the project, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Follow Up Electrical Equipment Installation: Monitor and manage the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, such as power distribution, lighting, and control systems, to ensure they meet project specifications and schedules.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with teams from various disciplines, including mechanical, civil, and EHS, to ensure the integration and coordination of electrical systems with other systems in the project.
• Provide Technical Support and Guidance: Offer technical support to contractors, and internal teams on electrical system installations, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality control throughout the project.
• Develop and Implement Procedures: Establish and implement receiving procedures and protocols for electrical equipment, materials, and components to ensure they meet the project’s technical requirements before installation.
• Develop and Implement Testing Procedures: Create and execute testing protocols for electrical systems, such as power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and control systems, ensuring proper functionality before system commissioning.
The Senior Electrical engineer will operate within the construction of the plasterboard installation to carry out efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. The Senior Project Engineer will lead the execution of electrical installations of the plasterboard systems, from initial design verification and approval, and planning to the final installation and finishing, across various stage of the project.
- Project Design & Planning: Oversee design and planning of electrical plasterboard systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and specifications.
- Project Execution: Manage project execution, ensuring that electrical scope of plasterboard installation is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Quality Control & Risk Management: Perform quality checks and resolve issues during installation to meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Team & Client Coordination: Lead internal contractors, collaborate with external contractors, and maintain strong relationships, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical systems design, installation, and project management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.• Skills: Strong understanding of electrical design, installation techniques, and project management. Proficient in design and scheduling software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Revit, ETAP, MATLAB, etc.).• Certifications: Relevant electrical engineering or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, Site Management) preferred.• Language: Excellent command in spoken and written English.
