Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with project teams to forecast timelines, resources, and dependencies.
2. Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with finance and project teams.
- Track project costs, expenditures, and variances to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Identify and report cost overruns, recommending corrective measures.
3. Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality control standards.
- Monitor contract compliance and report deviations.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate periodic reports on project performance, cost status, and progress updates.
- Present key insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation for auditing and future project references.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate meetings, progress reviews, and status updates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency in project performance through regular reporting and dashboards.
6. Process Improvement & Best Practices:
- Develop and implement project control procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project planning, cost control, and risk management methodologies.
- Leverage data analytics to improve project forecasting and decision-making.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CCP, PMI-SP) are an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project controls, cost control, or planning within construction, engineering, or oil & gas industries.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and financial management.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or equivalent project control software.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Power BI, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with EVM (Earned Value Management) and KPI-based reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
