The Civil Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. The Civil Project Manager coordinates with stakeholders, supervises construction teams, and manages project resources to ensure efficiency and quality.

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for civil construction projects.
  • Oversee site activities to ensure work progresses according to the project timeline.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and industry standards.

Construction Management & Quality Control:

  • Supervise construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, structural works, and finishing.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to engineering designs and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Address and resolve technical issues and construction challenges efficiently.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:

  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to review progress and address concerns.
  • Provide project updates and reports to senior management and clients.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Monitor project costs and ensure expenses align with the approved budget.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Work with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of construction materials.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Enforce site safety regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to minimize hazards.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international construction codes and regulations.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil construction and project management.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural design, and site management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and construction management software.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and procurement processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
