Health and Safety Management
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular safety risk assessments for polyurethane and rock wool production lines, including chemical handling and fire hazards.
- Safety Policies: Develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Training: Organize and deliver HSE training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Incident Management: Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- PPE Management: Ensure proper availability and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire drills and chemical spill containment procedures.
Environmental Compliance
- Waste Management: Oversee the proper disposal of chemical and solid waste from production lines to comply with environmental laws.
- Air Quality: Monitor emissions and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Sustainability: Propose and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the plant’s environmental footprint.
Compliance and Audits
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Egyptian free zone regulations, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and other relevant safety laws.
- Audits: Conduct regular internal HSE audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records and report safety metrics to management and regulatory authorities.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Safety Culture: Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and HR teams to integrate HSE practices.
- Team Management: Supervise the HSE team, including coordinators and officers.
Qualifications and Skills:Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE, with at least 3 years in manufacturing (experience in sandwich panels or similar industries is a plus).Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certifications preferred.Knowledge: Familiarity with handling hazardous chemicals (e.g., MDI, polyols) and fire prevention measures in industrial settings.Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and training abilities.Analytical and problem-solving mindset. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):Reduction in accident frequency and severity rates.Compliance with HSE regulations and audit findings.Timeliness and effectiveness of incident investigations.Employee participation in safety programs.Environmental compliance metrics (e.g., waste disposal, emission levels).
