Senior System Administrator

Responsibilities -

  • Lead and manage a team of system administrators, technicians, support staff, and data analysts.
  • Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and mentor team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the team.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard systems against cyber threats and data breaches.

  • Develop and maintain IT support processes and procedures to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.

  • Manage and optimize databases to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support business requirements.
  • Perform data analysis to extract insights, identify trends, and support decision-making processes.
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data analytics requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate and select vendors for IT products, services, and data analytics tools.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Develop training programs and materials to enhance the technical skills of team members and end-users.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and data analytics workflows.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate users on best practices and new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Implement controls and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams and external regulators to demonstrate compliance and address any findings or recommendations.


Qualifications - [Education details]

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science,
  • Technical background is mandatory- at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in systems administration, technical support, data analysis, and database management.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, security, infrastructure, data analytics tools, and database management systems.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SQL certifications) are a plus.
