Mechanical Construction Manager

As the Mechanical Construction Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical construction works in our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a proven track record in managing large-scale mechanical and sanitary work.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:

Design Review and Supervision:

  • Review mechanical and plumbing engineering designs prepared by external engineering consultants.
  • Supervise the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and workshop drawings by the technical office.

Resource Planning and Estimation:

  • Calculate the quantities of raw materials, supplies, and equipment required for mechanical works in project facilities and buildings.
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying (QS) engineer to estimate all tasks and materials related to mechanical and sanitary works.

Planning and Execution:

  • Work closely with the planning engineer to develop and implement the executive plan for mechanical and sanitary works.
  • Oversee the execution of mechanical works in collaboration with project contractors, ensuring compliance with schedules and quality standards.

Problem-Solving and Coordination:

  • Coordinate with technical office engineers and site engineers to address challenges that may arise during project implementation.
  • Ensure seamless communication between stakeholders to meet project timelines and objectives.

Tender and Contract Management:

  • Review tenders from subcontractors, evaluating financial estimates and proposals for assigned works.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.

Quality Assurance and Inspection:

  • Inspect and supervise the installation and operation of water and sewage pipe networks, verifying their safety and functionality.
  • Monitor the quality of contractors' works, including installations and network systems, and provide approvals upon successful completion.

Technical Specifications and Standards:

  • Develop and review technical specifications for raw materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for mechanical and sanitary works.
  • Maintain adherence to project standards and regulatory requirements throughout all stages.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15 - 17 years of experience in mechanical site supervision for the construction of large-scale building projects (malls and hotels are preferable).
  • Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design, execution, and subcontracting teams to resolve issues.
